Stockport Jobs Match host virtual events in National Careers Week

This year’s National Careers Week is on 1st – 6th March and Stockport Council’s Jobs Match team are organising a week of sector-themed Virtual Careers Events to help signpost individuals to careers advice, training courses, employers and live jobs. If you are looking to recruit and expand your team in the coming weeks or months, this is a great opportunity to promote your jobs for free and reach local applicants

The event will include 2 hours of online event activity Monday-Friday 9am-11am including:

  • 9.00-9.30 – Jobs Feed to post links to live vacancies on social media, including sharing employer videos in that sector
  • 9.30-10.00 – Training & Careers Advice Feed to share links to training providers, courses, skills programmes, case studies, careers advice and support services to help progress a career in that sector
  • 10.00-11.00 – Zoom Event featuring employers with live vacancies, training providers with open courses and CV & Interview tips

The days will be focused around the Customer Service & Retail, Digital & IT, Warehousing & Logistics, Social Care and Marketing & Creative sectors. Would you like to be involved in the event in some way? This could be by:

  • Sending information to us about your jobs, apprenticeships or volunteer jobs within these sectors to be shared on the day or included in our information packs
  • Speaking at the Zoom event as an employer for 5-10 minutes to tell attendees about what you have to offer and who you are looking for
  • Promoting the event to your customers or colleagues and sharing on social media during the week
