Discover your career options from 16+ and meet with local FE, HE & Training Providers and Employers
Stockport Council and Stockport Jobs Match bring you a week-long Virtual Careers Fair to help you understand your choices from 16+.
Whether you’re considering A-Levels or Apprenticeships, University or employment, or you’re still undecided, join our 5-day event to learn about different career, education and training pathways and meet with local providers.
As part of the week, Stockport Jobs Match are providing a range of resources to schools and colleges, hosting interactive sessions at lunchtimes and expert Q&A sessions in the evening, as well as a telephone helpline. Over 50 exhibitors are taking part in the Virtual Expo – including employers offering part-time jobs, internships, apprenticeships and work placements for students; colleges and sixth forms; HE and universities; independent training providers; and support services for young people. From Monday 11th – Friday 15th October, we’ll be delivering a range of pre-recorded, live and interactive sessions to help you understand the choices available when you leave school, college or sixth form and provide impartial, comprehensive careers advice.
All sessions are free to attend and aimed at Years 10-13 students, parents and caregivers, teachers and careers advisors.
Working closely with all Stockport Schools, Colleges, Sixth Forms and Training Providers, we’ll be delivering:
Student & Teacher Guides
Get started with our range of bitesize videos, online quizzes, presentations, lesson plans, group activities and independent research challenges to understand more about your choices from 16+.
Tune in on your lunch break every day for our 20 minute sessions at 1.00pm and 1.30pm to learn about what’s on offer locally.
Find out more about local employers, colleges, sixth forms, universities and training providers with our virtual exhibitor stands and introductory videos.
Join our Evening Zoom sessions on Tuesday and Thursday at 8.00pm to put your questions to a panel of expert speakers.
