Grants of up to £150,000 per business are available, with applications required by 28th February 2021.
The support scheme for large employers will provide financial support to help businesses survive and protect jobs by helping with operational costs and overheads. Businesses will be considered if they are based in Stockport with over 50 employees and have a strategic impact on the local economy (businesses with less than 50 employees will be considered in exceptional circumstances where there is exceptional contribution demonstrated to the economic vibrancy locally).
You’ll need to demonstrate and provide evidence that your business has suffered a significant and substantial negative impact on trading as a result of COVID-19. This cannot be a reduced level of growth compared to forecasts, it must be a reduction on previous levels of trading.
This scheme cannot be used to support wage costs for staff or your contribution to furlough payments for staff.
Incomplete applications or applications that do not answer the questions and provide the information asked for will not be successful.
The application closes on 28 February 2021.
If your application is successful you’ll receive the grant payment in March 2021.
